So... Real paint not quite so easy as digital paint, there's a surprise. I've been getting the hang of thinking in saturation & value, and making tiny adjustments to the sliders to fine tune colours. Got myself 6 tubes of acrylic, none of which have sliders, and none have HSV or RGB values printed on them. Last time I painted anything other than a wall it was probably an orc miniature for my Warhammer Fantasy Battle army and it would've been 1992. Happy days. Bit of a shock to the system mixing real colours (and inventing a new colour, 'dysentery brown') but this turned out better than I thought it would. Best thing for me will be to just do loads of quickish paintings to get the feel of the brushes so hope to get a bunch of these posted over the next couple of weeks.
