Description

Climate change fact: If global temperatures continue to rise then within the next 50 years the deep caverns of the earth will be warm enough to incubate long dormant dragon eggs, like these.

My entry for Charligal's & Tasastock's New Beginnings Contest ([link]). Last time I entered a contest with a bit of art I think I was 8 and by uncanny coincidence it was also a picture of a dragon. On that occasion said dragon was being slaughtered by St George, and I won some coloured pencils from WH Smith in Croydon. Turned out there had been no other entrants, so not the hardest contest to win that time around. Don't know what that says about the creative buzz around Croydon in the 1980s but having also worked there in the early 2000s I would venture that not much has changed.

Used my FREE version of Adobe Illustrator ([link]) to do the ink and painted the rest in Painter with oils.

Adorable! Doing lines in Illustrator didn't frustrate you? The pen tool sucks all the joy out of my day. They look great though. I also love how you made all the eggs a different color :)
